Ashley Ghostkeeper is a Metis-Cree Emerging Country Artist originally from Red Deer, Ab. She currently calls Calgary her home. As a youngster Ashley spent countless hours at the rink playing competitive hockey for 14 years, but there was always the joy and passion of music guiding her in her life. Ashley was born into a family of singers and songwriters and at an early age was heavily influenced by her family and their love of music. From her grampa teaching those first chords and her auntie who was in a country-gospel duo, inspiring and motivating her as a young child, to her cousin who also is a full time musician. At the tender age of 8 years old, Ashley began writing and singing her songs. She knew then that music was her calling. At the age of 14, Ashley hit the stage singing and performing at her school's Glee Club and her love of performing on stage to crowds of fans began, thus blazing the trail to where she is now. Growing up, her inspiration by artists such as Miranda Lambert, Sara Evans, The Chicks, and 90s country sound helped to carve her honest, down to earth lyrics and writing style with an early 2000s country feel. Often being compared to a mix of Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood. Ashleys unique singing style ranges from rowdy and sensitive to light and soothing with a melodic twang. A natural storyteller, Ashley’s music connects with her listeners at a deeper level of meaning and healing, while staying true to her country soul. Throughout her musical path, Ashley has sung national anthems for numerous Pro-Rodeos, Junior/College hockey games, local eateries in the Edmonton area and farmers markets. In 2015, she performed on the main stage singing her way into the top 10 at the well known Ponoka, Ab Talent Show. Ashley recently signed with a talent agency, promoting her dedication and passion to her art and expressing it through her music, acting, poetry, songwriting and modelling.

Spring of 2021 saw the completion of the recording of her debut EP at Union Sound Studio in Toronto with CMAO nominated producer Shawn Moore. With the release of the singles set for summer 2021, you can expect a glimpse into a self love, discovery journey of life sung and written solely by Ashley.
